From The Forge: Smash Podiums, GoldenEye Grudges, and What Comes Next
Hello Reforged Faithful! We have some catching up to do, and plenty to celebrate: a Smash podium, trivia victories, a freshly forged emblem from one of our own, and more reasons to spend a night with your people. October is keeping us busy, so let’s get into it!
Recent Highlights at Reforged
Reforged Rebooted returned Thursday, October 8, and we have our podium! Congratulations to Chunky in first, Zafkiel in second, and MikeMM in third.
The event photos tell another part of the story: players at their setups, people watching matches, and conversations around the bar, all under a frankly impressive amount of Halloween cobwebs. Thanks to everyone who came out and gave this new Smash series another night together. The next bracket is October 22.
Newgrounds Death Rugby returned to Reforged on Saturday, October 10 for the world premiere of the music video they filmed here on August 26. It was a smaller, more intimate gathering, giving the band a chance to share what they created in the same place where they brought it to life. We love seeing the lounge become part of our community’s creative projects.
Around the Community
Our D&D tables deserve a regular place in these updates. Campaigns give people a reason to come back to their party, keep a story moving, and spend real time together. As we said last week, that includes our all-femme group. Most businesses tolerate you gaming in their establishment. At Reforged, we celebrate it.
Nerdy Trivia — October 7
Congratulations to our Nerdy Trivia winners! First place: Team Sora (Jordan M.). Second place: Immortal LLC (Tyler C. and Alex K.). Third place: Cream Team (Julia W. and Bela P.).
Anime Trivia — October 11
Our Anime Trivia podium brought another round of community victories: first place went to Jordan Mc Garvie and Jamhal Bostic, second to Theo Plumber, and third to Jada. Congratulations to all of our winners!
Wednesday’s Nerdy Trivia keeps the EMBERS flowing: 150 for first place, 100 for second, and 50 for third. Good Wheel and Bad Wheel spins add their own chaos, and a team landing the only correct answer earns a Good Wheel spin. Jackbox follows in the Flex Room. Knowledge, questionable answers, and a little friendly rivalry all have their place ;)

A New Emblem, Forged by Our Community
We have a winner! Congratulations to Ember Fishfood for Thought, whose hammer-and-anvil design won our From The Forge Cover and Emblem Design Contest and the 500 EMBERS prize! The new emblem sits between the familiar RGL wings, giving From The Forge a little more forge to call its own ;)
Fishfood for Thought also submitted a creation video to document the process for our no-AI contest requirement. It deserves a spotlight of its own. In roughly 30 seconds, you can watch the hammer and anvil take shape, from the initial outlines through the shading, highlights, and worn-metal texture. Seeing those details come together makes the finished artwork even more impressive!

Testing the Waters phase with Vicinity Ventures is now open! On Wednesday, October 21, from 5:30–7 p.m., we’re hosting an invite-only investor and potential investor meetup with the RGL and Vicinity Ventures teams. Guests can experience the lounge, meet the teams, and ask questions before Nerdy Trivia. Our second meetup, on Wednesday, November 11, will be open to the public from 5:30–7 p.m., also leading into trivia. Can't make either event? Tonight, Saturday, October 17 — GoldenEye 007 on the original Nintendo 64 takes us back to four-player split-screen. Yes, your friends can still see your corner of the TV.
Sunday, October 18 — Brunchyroll from 11 a.m.; Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 5 trivia and costume contest at 6 p.m. The Butcher’s Masquerade gets its night.
Monday, October 19 — Suffer Well Monday: half-price Game Passes for everyone; verified F&B workers also get $2 off entrées and $1 off drinks. Sides and refills excluded. Bring a pay stub, workplace name tag, or comparable proof, and come game your stressors away together.
Tuesday, October 20 — Chucktown Startups 5x5 LIVE: networking at 5:30 p.m., with five-minute founder presentations starting at 6 p.m.
Wednesday, October 21 — Invite-only investor meetup from 5:30–7 p.m.; free Nerdy Trivia at 7 p.m., followed by Jackbox.
Thursday, October 22 — Reforged Rebooted Smash at 6 p.m., alongside Throwback Thursday: half-price Game Passes, $2 off entrées, and $1 off alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. Sides and refills excluded.
Friday, October 23 — Mario Party Jamboree and Dead by Daylight tournaments at 7 p.m.
The Entity is calling! Dead by Daylight brings four-player teams into a round-robin tournament, with every team facing every other team at least once. For each matchup, one team sends all four players in as survivors while the opposing team chooses one member to play the killer. Teams compete in both roles throughout the event. Come with a full squad, an incomplete team, or solo and group up with other players. All skill levels are welcome—bring your communication, your strategy, and your best chance of surviving the Fog!
Saturday, October 24 — Switch Sports Resort Release Party and Tournament at 5 p.m.
We’re celebrating the new game with multiple sports and challenges, friendly competition, and prizes for our top three finishers. Longtime players and curious newcomers are welcome. Grab a controller, bring your friends, and see who becomes our first Switch Sports Resort champion!
Sunday, October 25 — Brunchyroll returns for brunch, anime, and time with your people.
Monday, October 26 — Suffer Well Monday returns with half-price Game Passes for everyone and the F&B worker food and drink specials.
Tuesday, October 27 — Tech After Five returns from 5:30–7:30 p.m.
